How can I help?

Any contributions will go a long way and would be much appreciated by both the Teebah Foundation and the intended recipients. However, here are some set amounts along with what they can go towards:

  • £750 Water Well for up to 200 Families
  • £150 Water Hand Pump for 4-6 Families
  • £10,000 Water Filtration System for up to 20,000 Families

About the Project

According to the United Nations World Health Organisation 844 million people don’t have access to clean water. Facts also state that 1 in 9 people have to walk long distances daily to fetch water, because they simply don’t have clean water close to home.

It is truly upsetting when you know that the cause of death in some places is preventable. In fact, water should be the source of life not cause of death. Every 2 minutes a child under the age of 5 dies from contaminated water. Due to the lack of safe and clean water people in the developing world are at high risk.

The good news is: Teebah Foundation has launched Water Hand Pump project to save lives and save time. Our goal is to prevent deaths caused by dirty water, provide clean and safe water and save families the long walks by building water hand pumps in rural areas where clean water is difficult to reach.

Who will benefit from this project?

Every person suffered from a disease caused by dirty water or lost someone dear due to the same reason. Children who cannot go to school just so they can help their mothers carry water and the elderly who spent their lives walking long distances to bring clean water home. Building water hand pumps will surely change lives.

Why should I donate?

We have been blessed with accessible hot and cold clean water taps, it is a blessing that we take for granted; for other people it is a dream. We might have never experienced it but the thought of water being a threat to a precious life will make us think twice.

People die on a daily basis from contaminated water. The reason you should donate is to save lives, for “whoever saves one life – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely” [05:32]

How is my donation spent?

We install different types of wells depending on the circumstances in each area. In many countries we install ‘tube wells’ with a hand pump. These tube wells are preferred by communities as the installation means a thinner hole can be drilled or dug in a small area and in a short time. Tube wells make it easier to reach water that’s deeper underground and the hand pump eases the lifting of water through the tube.
