Rohingya Refugees crisis is considered to be one of the world’s fast-growing humanitarian crisis. According to the latest statistics, 1.2 million people in need – 914,000 Rohingya Muslims fled persecution and violence while 120,000 people in Myanmar are internally trapped and displaced – deprived from essential services. The numbers are expected to increase as the situation is ever escalating.
Rohingya refugees fled ethnic violence against Muslim minority in Myanmar, seeking safety and stability but are struggling to survive in these sever conditions. Most of the people are vulnerable children, elderly and women (including widows, pregnant or lactating mothers). Their plight doesn’t get the media’s attention it deserves and they are soon becoming forgotten.
My donation will not end the crisis, is it important to donate?
Yes, because you will be saving lives and of course the reward is great.
The prophet (PBUH) said: “…Allah will say [on the day of judgement] ‘Son of Adam, I needed food but you did not feed Me.’ ‘My Lord, How could I feed You when You are the Lord of the Worlds?’ ‘Did you not know that one of My servants was hungry but you did not feed him? If you had fed him you would have found its reward with Me.’
‘Son of Adam, I was thirsty, but you did not give Me something to drink.’ ‘My Lord, How could I give a drink when You are the Lord of the Worlds?’ ‘Did you not know that one of My servants was thirsty but you did not give him a drink? If you had given him a drink, you would have found its reward with Me.’ – [Al-Bukhari]
How does my contribution help?
Rohingya refugees are not just physically hurt but emotionally suffering. The struggle is real, as they lack basic life necessities such as food, water and shelter. Your donation will help heal some wound caused by oppression and hostility. You will provide people with food, clean water and shelter – you will simply assure them that there is still hope in this world.
