A Spoken-Word Competition for UK Writers Aged 16 & Under

Sometimes we think we understand suffering… until someone from Gaza gently opens a window into a world we’ve never had to imagine.

Sarraa spoke about life in the tents, not the hunger we already know about, not the thirst or the cold we expect, but the tiny, invisible details of survival that we rarely stop to think about. The kind of lessons that turn a simple shelter into a daily test of the soul.

She reminded us that behind every tent is a story of strength, forced adaptation, quiet pain, and resilience that refuses to break.

Now it’s your turn to reflect, imagine, and create.
