The National Khatm Tour

A Full Day & Night of Qur’an Recitation, Worship & Unity

We are honoured to announce a One-Day Khatm al-Qur’an Event in collaboration with local masjids – a spiritually uplifting gathering dedicated to the recitation of the entire Qur’an in one day and night.

Beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing until Fajr the following morning, this special event will bring together ḥuffāẓ, scholars, reciters, and members of the community in a collective journey through the words of Allah ﷻ.

The event will conclude with a heartfelt Duʿā’ of Khatm al-Qur’an after Fajr prayer.

Selected moments of the programme will also be filmed by Islam Channel to help inspire and promote similar Qur’anic initiatives across the country.

Our Objectives

This event aims to:

  • Encourage ḥuffāẓ to maintain a strong connection with their memorisation throughout the year.
  • Strengthen the relationship between Muslims and the Qur’an, especially among young people.
  • Revive the beautiful tradition of completing the Qur’an outside of Ramadan.
  • Bring the community together through worship, reflection, and unity.
  • Share the beauty of the Qur’an through a welcoming and engaging public gathering.

Event Schedule

Opening Recitation

The programme will begin with the recitation of Sūrat al-Fātiḥah, followed by opening remarks and duʿā’ by a local Imam, who will formally open the Khatm al-Qur’an gathering.

Following this, the participating ḥuffāẓ will begin the recitation of the Qur’an from Sūrat al-Baqarah, continuing in sequence until the completion of the Khatm al-Qur’an.

The recitation will continue throughout the day and night, pausing only for the five daily congregational prayers.

Throughout the Day

  • The Qur’an will continue to be recited in order by participating ḥuffāẓ.
  • Reciters will take turns throughout the day and evening.
  • Short pauses will take place only for the five daily congregational prayers.
  • Attendees are encouraged to listen attentively, follow along in their own muṣḥaf, and remain spiritually engaged throughout the event.

Fajr Prayer & Completion

The event concludes with:

  • Congregational Fajr prayer
  • Completion of the Qur’an
  • Duʿā’ of Khatm al-Qur’an

A moving and memorable supplication marking the completion of this blessed gathering.
